Planète Urgence programme report since 2020; operator reported
Planète Urgence ↗CAMERR
CAMERR connects restoration in the Wouri estuary with community forest management and local livelihoods. This Overview follows the operator, field partners, public technical work and the VCS record across their different reporting scopes.

The operator, local implementer, sponsor and public filing describe different parts of CAMERR. Keep planting reports, community-forest work and VCS design boundaries separate.

Programme activity figures are operator reports, not verified VCS removals.Reports May 2026 planting and the associated Dibombari community-forest inventory.

Inside the project
Planète Urgence presents CAMERR as a restoration and community-resilience programme. Its public project page reports planting since 2020, while CWCS publishes later site-level updates and work on a separate community-forest inventory.
The VCS filing covers a 1,055 ha first activity instance and a 2,000 ha grouped aim. Planète Urgence’s wider programme summary uses a rounded 1,000 ha target. These are different scopes rather than one achieved area.
The registry shows registration requested and zero issued credits. Operator planting reports are not independent verification of VCS carbon delivery.
CAMERR is distinct from Apolownia’s BluEdea project. Their land-boundary overlap has not been established.
Objectives
- Restore degraded mangrove and support natural regeneration
- Work with local communities on access, consent and livelihoods
- Measure vegetation, biomass and soil carbon under the filed plan
Approach
- Nurseries, removal of locally invasive plants, planting and regeneration of native mangroves
- Stratified permanent plots planned for vegetation, biomass and soil carbon
