Dated editorial and design changes, with the scope of each revision. An update to one part of the hub does not imply a fresh review of every entry.
The project and country directories now use a curated photo manifest with Wikimedia Commons source pages, creator credits and licence links. Images are labelled as project photographs or geographic context, with historical dates retained where available. Coverage currently includes 135 project profiles and all 50 country cards; 165 project profiles remain held for further sourcing where no defensible image was found.
Restore Africa now carries a status-under-review notice after FTI listed its lead organisation in liquidation. Yopo separates developer plans from confirmed delivery and flags unresolved dates and registry status. Corbetti distinguishes a signed loan from prospective equity; Brújula Verde adds its financing partners’ dated account; Humbo’s historical credit figure is labelled by year. BasiGo, Spiro, Azuero, Drawa, Kuamut and Winch Uganda gain dated or explicitly undated primary-source context. This is an editorial update, not a fresh registry verification of all eleven projects.
The library adds dated Corbetti and Yopo development announcements and the public insolvency appointment record for Restore Africa’s lead organisation. Publisher metadata was repaired for two Restore Africa reports. Humbo, Chestnut Carbon, Yopo and Restore Africa registry lookups remain unresolved and are not presented as completed checks.
Instruments the Regulation directory had named but not yet shown were read in their own texts, from gazettes, legislatures and government portals, and now appear with a quoted passage and date. Several turned out to be newer than first reported: Côte d'Ivoire adopted its climate change law on 25 June 2025; Peru, Mexico, Bolivia, Madagascar and Togo have filed third NDCs to 2035, and Mozambique a provisional one; Sudan's final updated NDC dates from October 2021; Brazil's REDD+ commission now rests on a 2023 decree and Mozambique's REDD+ rules on a 2018 decree. Uganda's and Zambia's climate acts are shown as Enacted, because each comes into force on a date a minister appoints and no such order was found. Entries whose texts could not be read, including several United States state laws, stay marked as candidates.
Added PARFD, a public project launched in April 2025 by Tunisia's forestry directorate with African Development Bank finance through the Strategic Climate Fund, which plans to restore or stabilise 33,200 hectares of degraded forest in Béja, Siliana and Bizerte and bring agroforestry onto 2,450 hectares of farmland at the forest edge; no results have been reported yet. Added the Africa Sand Dam Foundation's community sand dams in Makueni, Machakos and Kitui, described on the page of its UK partner Sand Dams Worldwide. Added MR-CCLD, a completed pilot led by Somalia's Ministry of Environment and Climate Change under the Nairobi Convention, which surveyed mangroves in Warshiekh, Jazeera and Kismayo and planted 1,000 mangroves. Each rests on one publisher's page or report and is captioned single-source.
On phones, long resource names, button labels, filter options and report titles no longer run past the right edge of the screen, and each solution page's logo panel no longer draws its facts over the logo and name. Reading columns on the changelog, method and signal pages now line up with the rest of the page. Dashes were taken out of the hub's own sentences, and quoted document titles keep theirs. The changelog no longer gives one review date for the whole hub: each entry shows the date it was last checked.
The nine directories the first September pass did not cover were read against each entry's own page, most of them in a browser where pages refuse automated reading, and now carry their own check dates. Status changes written in: TÜV SÜD acquired SustainCERT in July 2026; the UN Race to Zero campaign is archived and becoming the Net Zero Activation Group; Earthood moved to a new website; the First Movers Coalition page moved; the Tracking SDG7 report's 2026 edition counts 655 million people without electricity; Frontier's commitment is $1.8 billion by 2040; the Amazon Fund reports 151 projects. Figures the pages no longer carry were replaced or removed (among them Faja Lobi's reforestation target, which its site gives as 50,000 hectares), and Homeward Bound, which concluded operations in June 2026, leaves the Experts directory. Entries whose pages could not be read, or that sit behind bot verification, keep their earlier date.
Added Green Aral Sea, UNDP's crowdfunded saxaul planting on the dried Aral Sea bed in Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan (823,000 trees on 658.2 hectares since 2020), and a 200 MW solar plant with 120 MWh of battery storage at Benban, Egypt, financed by an EBRD construction loan announced in April 2026. Both rest on a single publisher's page and are captioned single-source.
Twelve entries whose pages blocked automated reading were read in a browser and now carry a September check date. Three needed correcting: the Energy Transition Index now points to its 2026 edition (published 18 June 2026, 120 countries); the UN Climate Weeks are no longer regional, so April's Yeosu week is listed as UN Climate Week 3 and September's Baku week was added as Climate Week 4; and Climate Impact X announced on 26 August 2026 its intent to merge with Carbonplace. Descriptions of the Article 6.4 crediting mechanism, ISO 14064, the OECD minerals guidance, PreventionWeb, the World Bank Climate Change Knowledge Portal, Innovate4Climate, the IETA MENA dialogue and the Oxford Offsetting Principles were brought in line with their pages. Two pages, NDC Partnership and the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development, sit behind bot verification and keep their earlier dates.
The September re-check found four profiled companies no longer offering what their profiles described, so they leave the Solutions directory: Dendra Systems entered administration in October 2025 and its website no longer resolves; Albo Climate's website no longer resolves; Treeswift now builds robotics for electric-grid work rather than forest measurement; Renoster moved from ratings and data to developing its own forest carbon projects.
Added Oman Blue Carbon, Freetown the Treetown, Medellín Green Corridors, Durban's Transformative Riverine Management Programme, Senegal's Great Green Wall, Gabon's results-based forest payments, the BACoMaB trust fund in Mauritania, BasiGo electric buses, Spiro electric motorcycles, Bogotá's electric bus fleet, PROSOL solar water heaters in Tunisia, TakaTaka Solutions, Safe Water Network, Lake Turkana Wind Power and the Ghoubet wind farm in Djibouti. Each rests on an operator, funder or government page; those resting on one originator are captioned as single-source.
Datasets, indices, portals, events and frameworks were re-read entry by entry, and every solution profile against the company's own page. Each entry that could be read now carries its own check date instead of one date per section; entries whose pages block automated reading keep their earlier date. Descriptions were corrected where the pages no longer carry the claim: Global Forest Watch is now Global Nature Watch, Maxar Intelligence is now Vantor, Mapeo's maker is now Awana Digital (CoMapeo), Phoenix LiDAR was acquired by Revolution Geosystems, CarbonPlan has paused OffsetsDB updates, the EU CBAM entered its definitive phase on 1 January 2026, and figures and superlatives the pages do not state were removed. Link health was re-run over 229 URLs.
The developers, funders, buyers, government bodies and NGOs named in project sources now appear on the Stakeholders pages, each listing the projects that name it; the organisation list grew from 387 to 674. Names that could not be typed from their sources, or that name several organisations at once, are held back until resolved rather than guessed.
The project catalogue grew from 96 to 280. Technology-based projects arrived in seven categories: clean cooking, off-grid energy, renewable power, electric mobility, safe water, waste and methane, and energy efficiency. Eighteen projects first found only in press coverage were rebuilt on primary pages before publication. Every landing shares one format, map first, with projects in alphabetical order.
Removed the fit tags, integration badges and lens notes that positioned solutions relative to one platform. Straatos now appears as its own entry written from its public pages and marked single-source, and is featured above the alphabetical Solutions list.
Governance gained a Regulation directory of national climate law, NDCs, and carbon-market and forest instruments by country, stating every country's position; its country descriptions were rewritten as plain summaries on 16 September. Knowledge gained a Reports library of sourced documents that shows both sides on contested accounts.
Unpublished curation revision: shared navigation and directory introductions; separate project geography and intervention filters; a SUNCASA programme page and three city profiles; interactive evidence figures and historical Kigali district context; English and provisional AI-drafted Kinyarwanda on related pages; public CSV/JSON downloads and a printable summary. Sources retain their dates and modelled, reported and pending distinctions. This entry describes draft work, not deployment, partner translation approval or a fresh review of the entire catalogue.
Draft revision: SUNCASA project evidence connects to shared organisation, place and report profiles. Indicator displays distinguish reported results, modelled scenarios and missing data. Added Project Yopo under Projects: an 18,000-hectare native-forest restoration on degraded plains in Colombia's Vichada department, co-developed by aDryada with BaumInvest AG (which has already planted 6,600-plus hectares since 2023), certified to Gold Standard's A/R Methodology 21 with a validated PDD and rated A, pre-issuance, by Sylvera on 12 June 2026. It was the developer's public flagship missing from its three existing project pages (Haut-Sassandra, Osun State, Cross River). Refreshed the aDryada developer entry to name the Sylvera-rated Yopo flagship and aDryada's co-founding role in the Organization for Biodiversity Certificates (obiocert.com). Sourced from adryada.com's dedicated Yopo project page and carbon-approach page, independently corroborated on location, scale and planting dates by BaumInvest's own site.
Added under Coalitions: AIDESEP, CONAP and ANECAP (the three federations co-leading Peru's Indigenous Jurisdictional REDD+ programme, RIJ, with the national environment ministry), GTCRR (the lead DRC civil-society REDD+ coordination platform, 650-plus member organisations) and CORAP (a 50-plus-member DRC governance coalition, climate-adjacent via its environmental-protection and ecological-transition work pool, honestly distinguished from GTCRR's own primary REDD+ mandate). Added under Initiatives: Fundacion Gaia Amazonas (a 35-plus-year Colombian foundation coordinating Amazon indigenous-territory conservation). Sourced from each organisation's own official site, part of a verified 14-organisation civil-society pass across Peru, Colombia and DRC (Grupo Peru, the AIDESEP/CONAP/ANECAP coalition itself, parked pending a directly-citable official URL; CCONG and CNCEIB parked as real but weak thematic fits for this hub).

Ran the automated link-checker across all 151 external URLs: all now resolve. Fixed the one dead link: Océanium de Dakar's own domain (oceanium-dakar.com) has gone offline, so its Developers entry now points to the live Livelihoods Funds programme page that documents the Sine Saloum and Casamance mangrove restoration (the NGO remains active through partners). Re-anchored the events calendar to 3 July 2026 and re-confirmed near-term dates, including the imminent IETA Asia Climate Summit in Hong Kong (7-9 July, first time in the city). Added one Signal item: the EU nature-credits expert group reaching its mid-2026 milestone on registry and MRV design under the Commission's 2025 Roadmap towards Nature Credits.
Cross-checked every solution, standard and organisation referenced in a partner's climate lead list against the hub. Added the Paris Agreement Crediting Mechanism (Article 6.4) to Frameworks, the UN successor to the CDM whose registry is being operationalised, which we had only carried as an "Article 6" glossary term. Enriched the Terraformation entry to name its free, open-source Terraware platform (used by 1,140+ organisations in 104 countries) rather than describing it only as generic "tools". Two leads were deliberately left out and logged as scope calls: Caradonna (a Swiss regional forest-data tool, outside the Global-South scope) and Karbon-X's retail offset app (its Global-South developer arm ALLCOT is already listed; the "Mercury" platform is not publicly documented).
After a project developer flagged that a Verra-listed reforestation project was missing, we re-ran project discovery registry-first (Verra, Gold Standard, Plan Vivo, ART TREES and aggregators) rather than web-search-first. Added 43 first-party project profiles, nearly tripling reforestation and ARR coverage and closing the biggest gaps: Cote d'Ivoire (THANRY Tiapleu, Adiake blue carbon), the registry-listed blue carbon we had missed (Papariko VCS 3660, Lep-lep VCS 3885, Yagasu VCS 1493, Thor Heyerdahl VCS 1764), West Africa and the Sahel and Great Green Wall (Tond Tenga, Niger Acacia, GAMS Sudan, Regreening Africa, SURAGGWA), the East African highlands (Humbo, EthioTrees, KACP, Hongera, Nguru), and marquee REDD+ and ARR worldwide (Makame, Ntakata, Lower Zambezi, Brujula Verde, Panna, Khasi Hills, Nepal Terai Arc). The atlas gained 14 new countries.

Added Project Cosmos, Carbon Brief’s interactive map of the climate-research literature (1.8M publications, 40M citations, the Cosmos 500), to Datasets, and Carbon Brief itself to Think tanks. The organisation was previously in the hub only via its Global South Climate Database in Experts.
Added IETA’s regional carbon-market circuit to the calendar, the European, Asia and North America Climate Summits plus the Tokyo and MENA Carbon Market Dialogues and the South Africa Carbon Market Forum, alongside the World Bank’s Innovate4Climate. IETA itself was added to Coalitions, with a note on its market insights.
A date-led calendar of climate convenings weighted to the tropics and emerging markets, split into upcoming and earlier, from COP31 and Climate Week NYC to African Energy Week, Mining Indaba and the regional climate weeks. Dates are point-in-time and link out to each official page.
Two final reference sections: the assurance layer (accredited validation and verification bodies, plus advisers) and a curated set of expert directories with a Global-South and diversity lens, led by the Carbon Brief Global South Climate Database.

The ten seed solution profiles were re-read against their primary sources and stamped as checked. The crawl-derived entries remain unstamped until each is individually re-checked.
Added a Contribute page so anyone can suggest a missing project or solution, contradict a fact with evidence, or subscribe to Signal updates. The map is hand-built and point-in-time, so it improves by being corrected.
Every directory now shows counts that reflect the other active filters, disables options that would dead-end, and exposes removable active-filter tokens, so two-level filtering never returns an empty surprise.
A dated feed of what is moving across the market: funding, acquisitions, new methodologies and registry tech. Each item carries an evidence rating, the hub’s trust signature.
