Cameroon has no binding national climate-change law; its general Loi cadre relative à la gestion de l'environnement (1996) and a 2019 decentralisation framework law leave adaptation obligations non-binding at the sub-national level. Cameroon's updated NDC, submitted in September 2021, sets a 35% reduction target by 2030 against a 2010 baseline, 12% unconditional and 23% conditional, across agriculture, forestry, land use, energy and waste. Cameroon has no dedicated carbon-market instrument.
