Inside Gold Standard
Gold Standard for the Global Goals issues credits that must demonstrate climate impact plus measurable contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, a framing that sits naturally beside Straatos’s FPIC and benefit-sharing record.
Since 2022 it has run an Open Collaboration with the IOTA Foundation and ClimateCHECK, including a Digital Infrastructure and Open APIs working group whose open-source outputs aim to connect market participants with trust, transparency and interoperability.
It is digitising the standard and moving toward a cryptographic registry, so the issuance and retirement layer is becoming programmatically addressable rather than document-bound.
How Straatos integrates Gold Standard
A host standard to integrate with, and the closest large registry to Straatos’s co-benefit and community framing; registry APIs are still in progress, so integration deepens as the digital roadmap lands.
Feed verified evidence
Route Straatos MRV outputs and FPIC or benefit-sharing records into Gold Standard project documentation so co-benefit claims are backed by primary monitoring data.
Align to the open APIs
Track the Digital Infrastructure and Open APIs working-group schema and the cryptographic registry so Straatos can connect to issuance state as the digital rails mature.
Shared co-benefit narrative
Map Straatos’s community-monitoring and Cui Bono outputs onto Gold Standard’s SDG impact requirements rather than re-deriving a separate framework.
