Cavex is a cloud marketplace that collects, verifies and monitors data from small-scale climate-positive projects, converts it into credits using distributed-ledger technology, and routes sales to buyers in the global North.
Its defining feature is direct transfer of carbon-sale proceeds to projects via mobile payments, aiming to channel over $500M to small African projects by 2030.
It was incubated by 4R Digital Ltd with grant support from FSD Africa, and FSDAi committed US$3M as part of a roughly US$6M seed raise.
