BioCarbon Standard runs certification programmes across carbon, biodiversity and water, with strong adoption in Latin America and on REDD+ projects.

In October 2025 it launched a Digital MRV Working Group with Planet2050, bringing 20-plus experts to evaluate satellite remote sensing, IoT sensors, AI and blockchain for screening, data collection and audit.

The working group is defining risks including data sovereignty and governance, and a phased roadmap for full dMRV integration through 2026 aligned with ICVCM and CORSIA expectations.
