Objectives
- Maintain roughly 2,066 verified ha of restored mangrove under VCS 1764
- Anchor the wider WIF program of around 15,000 ha across four regions
- Sustain the first VCS blue carbon restoration model established in Asia
- Continue verification against Verra VCS requirements
Approach
- The park restores mangrove through WIF-led planting, verified under Verra VCS 1764 across roughly 2,066 ha. It was the first Asian blue carbon restoration to reach VCS certification, from 2017.
- The verified area sits inside a larger WIF program of around 15,000 ha spanning four regions.
