Safe Water Systems for Rural Uganda
TASC finances the distribution, by SPOUTS of Water, of Purifaaya ceramic filters to households in western Uganda, with 30,000 units placed to date. Framed against the fact that over 21 million people in Uganda lack access to clean drinking water and most rely on boiling, each filter is rated for roughly five years of use.
