Overview

Inside the project

This is a portfolio rather than a single project, marketed by Climate Impact Partners and made up of multiple local project entities across Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang and Guizhou provinces in China.

Together the projects restore more than 100,000 hectares of degraded land using native species such as willow, poplar, elm, spruce, pine and Siberian apricot.

The portfolio includes anti-desertification plantings on the edge of the Taklimakan Desert in Xinjiang and karst-region restoration in Guizhou that provides wildlife corridors. Individual Verra VCS registry IDs vary across the portfolio, so it should be read as portfolio-level with moderate corroboration.
